FC 24: Free kick guide

EA Sports FC 24 is finally here, and many fans are probably enjoying early access.
We've covered a lot, including how to defend, how to complete Ruthless Winger, and Golden Evolution, but what really shines in EA FC 24 is the gameplay.
Free kicks don't happen very often in FUT or FC 24, but when you get the chance, you have to shoot!

How to get a free kick in EA FC 24

Free kicks in FC 24 are no different than their predecessor FUT 23. Players who have played both games will find this guide easy to follow.
The likes of James Ward-Prowse and Lionel Messi use these tricks to score goals every time.
You can try these set pieces on the training pitch before a match or try them yourself under pressure.

Free kick guidance

Before taking a free kick, you need to make sure it is taken by your best free kicker.
In FC24, Messi, Ward-Prowse, and Parejo all have FK accuracy rates above 90 points. I recommend these three!

1. Select the player on your team who has the best combination of free kick accuracy, power and arc.
2. Accuracy is the key to hitting the perfect free kick. Use the crook of your inside foot to aim at the top of the back corner where 3. the wall is, and then pull the crosshair down so that you look past the wall.
4. Aim between the third and fourth person on the wall. If you shoot from the left (right side of the wall), if you shoot from the right (left side of the wall).
5. Then, if you're within 25 yards, you can put about 3 and a half bars of power into the shot, and if you're farther away, you can put more than 4 bars of power into the shot. This will ensure the ball gets past the goalkeeper.
6. Finally, decided to shoot. Once you've completed this step, try a new celebration in the corner with your fans!

Free kicks are an art and it's not easy to master, but if you can score 9 out of 10 free kicks, you'll win more games. Treat free kicks as penalties and increase your success rate with these steps!
