Diablo 4: How to farm Midwinter Proof

Diablo 4's "Winter Proofs" are a special currency exclusive to the "Winter's Decay" event. These midwinters are crucial if you want to unlock unique seasonal rewards, such as exclusive cosmetics and equipment. We highly recommend cultivating "Midwinter Proof" in order to collect limited time items that cannot be obtained outside of the event period (January 2, 2024). This guide will help you learn some strategies you can use to farm large amounts of Midwinter Evidence in Diablo 4.
The Making of Diablo 4's Midwinter Proof
Diablo 4's "Winter's Die" event (affected areas are marked with an orange border) features "Winter's Die" themed enemies. These enemies drop Bright Shards, which are needed to create Midwinter Tokens. In addition, defeating the Red Robe Horror Monster in this event will also earn you the Red Robe Trophy, which can be exchanged for the Midwinter Certificate.Winter demons appear in the snowy areas of Quevasado. These enemies drop Bright His Shards, which can be exchanged for Midwinter His Proofs. Enemies usually drop 5-7 shards. In addition to this, destroying Ice Shells found in the winter area of Kaiva Shad during the event period will drop 1-4 Lost Heirlooms. You can exchange 30 Lost Heirlooms for 1 Evidence of Midwinter.
Once you have collected enough Midwinter materials (Blight Shards, Lost Heirlooms, Red Robe Loot), go to the gathering table in MidWinter Square to convert them into MidWinter Proof. This process will also help increase your tribute level at your event.
You will find that the most effective way to obtain Midwinter is to defeat monsters and complete the Shattered His Peak event. Recommended for planting in the Gale Valley area around the Jelesniya waypoint. Traveling between event venues is necessary to refresh the area and maximize farming efficiency.
The 3rd level Midwinter Tribute upgrade significantly increases Midwinter Token production time by increasing the drop rate of Bright Shards and Lost Heirlooms in Nightmare Dungeons. Alternating between two specific events will increase your chances of encountering Blight Frenzy spawns that will give you a large amount of currency.
Once you have collected enough currency, you can exchange it for the following items:
- Blighted Fragments: 300 for 1 Midwinter Proof.
- Lost Heirlooms: 30 for 1 Midwinter Proof.
- Red-Cloaked Trophy: 1 for 1 Midwinter Proof.
This will make it easier to acquire large amounts of Midwinter Evidence during Diablo 4's "Winter Decay" event.
